Milena Govich
Milena Govich is an actor director,
musician, and actor. She has helmed numerous episodes of TV, including Chicago
Med (2015) (211) and The Equalizer (221). Also, she was co-producer and Co-EP
on Dick Wolf's CBS series FBI (2018). She is currently attached to two pilots
that are currently in the process of development. Milena was one of eight
filmmakers selected for AFI's prestigious Directing Workshop for Women, in
addition to the exclusive Sony Pictures Television Diverse Directors Program.
Her short film and TV show proof-of-concept titled Unspeakable featuring Laura
Vandervoort and Jeff Kober It saw its World premiere at SXSW and won the Best
Episodic Award at Seattle International Film Festival and Best Pilot at the
SoHo International Film Festival. The short film she made, Temporary (2017) is
screened across the nation and was awarded the Best Narrative Short at Anthem
Film Festival, Best Dark Comedy at Atlanta ShortsFest as well as the Director's
Choice Award at Sedona International Film Festival. As an actor, Milena has
been featured in more than 100 shows of television. She first gained national
attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the prostitute/con-artist Candy
on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis Leary/FX). Conviction (2006) was
her first appearance on CBS. She later became the first and only female
detective in Law & Order (1990). K-Ville (2007) (Fox); The Defenders
(2010)(CBS); Make It or Break It (2009) (ABC Family); and Lori Stevens (MTV
Drama Finding Carter (2014). Milena was also seen in a variety of films,
including Sordid Things (2008); A Novel Romance (2011) as a co-star with Steve
Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015) and #Lucky Number (2015). She also appeared
in a movie with Method Man. Milena is from Norman, Oklahoma native. When she
was valedictorian at her high school, she went further to get the double major
in singing and premed along with minors in dance and violin at the University
of Central Oklahoma. Soon after, Milena used her classical ballet lessons to take
part on Broadway in the Sam Mendes/Rob Marshall production "Cabaret"
in Studio 54.
